Very good food and excellent service. Needs a bit of a facelift- the seats of our benches were badly ripped.

Okay, I have been back to Crabby Joe's twice now and I find it necessary to add one more star to my original rating of three. The first night I went and had a penne pasta dish with peri peri chicken and found it to be very nice. Tonight, I went and had the calamari and shrimp tacos. I found them to be really nice.

This place is pretty cool. Very friendly staff. Mostly friendly patrons. The options are pretty standard Americana like a chilis or applebees would be. They have a good variety of liquor and beer on hand. So that's a plus. They also have the Canadian staple, poutine. French fries covered with cheese curds and brown gravy. Pretty dang good. We went  here three days in a row. The first day, our first in Canada, we almost got into a bar fight due to some other American being an ass. The manager made sure to apologize the next day and informed us that he left in an ambulance. Good thing we got out when we did. It was definitely a memorable experience.

This is just about the only place in town that's open late, and honestly I think that is the reason it's still thriving. The staff seem overworked, yet still friendly! But as far as the service goes....for supper, or lunch the service is fairly normal, but after 9 pm when the 1/2 price appetizers start, I have never had worse service. My friends like going there so I join them for the outing, but the appetizers are nothing to write home about, and I have never waited less than 30 minutes for my food. As far as the non-food waiting goes, the waitress usually doesn't check on us for 20-30 minutes which is very annoying as far as drink refills go. Overall, if you intend to go, go for dinner or lunch. And get ready to pay at least $20 for your meal.
